Carolyn Ibrahim
Founder, Holistic Infant Development & Family Advisor

Carolyn Ibrahim, PhD, OTR/L, IBCLC, CNT
Hi! I’m a wife, mother of two, lactation consultant and neonatal occupational therapist. This means that, while I have experience working with children of all ages, I specialize in the neonatal or newborn period. In order to best serve infants and their families, I also have training in infant massage and craniosacral therapy and use these modalities to support functional outcomes. I have worked in the hospital (NICU, mother-infant, and pediatrics) and hospital-based outpatient settings so I have experience with both well newborns and medically fragile or complex infants.
In addition to my clinical work, I have experience in research as well as teaching at the doctoral level. I teach in a PhD in Infant and Early Childhood Development program. My research has primarily focused on the developmental needs of infants in the NICU, including the importance of parent participation and engagement in their overall developmental progress. This work has led to the publication of multiple peer reviewed research articles and conference presentations.
My work is grounded in a basic truth: infants need consistent, attuned nurturing. From this perspective, I help parents cut through noise of social media, tune into their instincts, and make choices with their baby’s health and wellbeing in mind. I replace conflicting, inaccurate advice with evidence-based guidance that honors each infant’s unique biological needs. As an occupational therapist specializing in infant development, I equip parents and caregivers to read their baby’s signals, respond effectively, and support their infant’s wellbeing in ways that feel both intuitive and sustainable.
